Since 1/1/2016, the issuance of an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) is mandatory under the Building Energy Efficiency Regulation (KENAK) and the Technical Guidelines of the Technical Chamber of Greece (TOTEE). It is required for all buildings (including those under 50sqm) after construction completion, sale, or lease to a new tenant. The validity of an EPC is ten (10) years.
